Awards for Best Presentations

Wolfram Research, developers of Mathematica and Wolfram Alpha, are sponsoring a competition at ADASS XX to encourage excellence in the broad areas of focus of the conference. There will be awards for the best contribution by a student, the best general oral contribution, and the best poster contribution, at the conference. The winner in each category will win a 1 year license for Mathematica.

The content and presentation of each contribution will be judged by members of the Program Organizing Committee.

Content will be judged based on qualities such as the originality of work, application of creativity and innovation to address the problem, and the relevance of the topic to the conference themes.

Presentation will be judged based on qualities such as the clarity of the talk or poster, the aesthetic design of the poster or slides, and the effectiveness of the contribution in conveying the information to the audience.

The winners will be announced during the conference closing remarks on Thursday, November 11.
